About The Artist
Growing up in the breathtaking Okanagan, surrounded by the lakes and mountains of Penticton, I learned early what it meant to see the world with curiosity and wonder. Travelling through my life has expanded my mind and perspective, and years of sports gave me drive and discipline-- until injuries forced me to pause and find a new way to express myself. Art had always been woven into my life through pottery, painting, drawing and creative programs as a kid, but that pause is what pulled me back into it with intention. I returned to drawing and sketching, reconnecting and escaping with that familiar creative spark, and eventually signed up for a pottery class with my mom, I immediately knew I was going to keep going. clay quickly became the place where I could breathe, explore, rebuild, learn patience, gain confidence and really learn to let go. what began as countless hours practicing at the wheel grew into the opportunity to open my own studio --Two Lakes Pottery -- named for the unique place I call home, nestled between Lake Okanagan and Skaha Lake. after years of teaching and sharing space with a vibrant community of makers, I've shifted into a private studio setting where I am now focused on growing as an artist and traveling to learn from master potters around the world. My work is an ongoing journey -- rooted in home, shaped by movement and inspired by the beautiful, ever-changing world that first sparked my creativity.
